Daily Income

Filed under: Daily Bits — Saadh S @ 7:35 pm

Income for Adsense went from 9.91$ to 5.92$. I’m not upset because I had 200 less pageviews, the same click rate%, and only six less clicks. I just got unlucky with the value of the clicks. I need to find a way to stabilize income to over 10$ a day.

What are other ways to make income from content sites? Ways that could be implemented, affilaite programs are useless to me as I arleady have enough ads.

My ideas:
- Add a link unit from adsense
- Add those text link ads, like intellitext.

My Own Evaluation

For these initial first few weeks of blogging, it has been tough. Finding readers and getting visitors each day is difficult. What is saadh.com’s traffic? The stat programs say above 20 people a day, but who knows how many from that number actually read the blog. Because of this, the motivation to blog isn’t normally there.

I will try to post updates multiple times a day now. A few reasons why this would be beneficial:
1. Once you being getting lazy with a site and not updating, then that attitude begins to stick.
2. Whether or not the blog is read, blogging still helps self-pride.
3. Blogging keeps you focused. If I write about accomplishing something, then I’ll have more motiviation to accomplish even more.
4. Most of all, I am very intriguied by the Mind Petal Network of young entrepreneurs, a new, but selective network of promising entrepreneurs who blog about their journey. I think I definetly bring something different to the table than most young entrepreneurs.

Routine Plans:
- Post up daily adsense revenue on the right navigational side. This will only include recorded ad revenue from companies through CPC, CPM, or affiliate programs. That means, no one-time sales, text links sales, or other types of revenue.
- Try to provide an SEO tip or method either, every day, or every other day.

Vgescape Update 1.0

Filed under: Business, Entrepreneurship, Web Empire — Saadh S @ 7:32 pm

I’ll be doing a Vgescape update every week or so from now on. Major improvements from July 10, 2006 to July 17, 2006: - Added border and images on top of the horizontal adsense banners. Follows TOS becuase of border - Added images next to ads to the left, follows TOS because of border. - Border matches each console. - All the images rotate through a php scrpt thqat chooses from many different images available. All seperated for each console as well. - Added site-wide 12 affiliates. Another 5 affiliate requests in the work. INCOME Income has gone up like crazy. Affiliate links began kicking in around the 14th and the images were implemented on the 15th. Therefore, that is where the spike in revenue comes from. Don’t think that revenue is steadily dropping though. The revenue for July 17th still has 8 hours to go (they update from Pacific Time).

Hosting Improvements, and $$$ Spending

Hosting Improvements

I’ve been having a lovely hosting experience over at powervps.com. I’ve been on a reseller account with a few extra IP’s and extra disk space for the past few months. My dad has asked me to host him because he thought I was already on a VPS server. Therefore, I thought it might be a good idea to switch over anyway.

The cost will be an additional 22.50$ per month, but I can now order a few more IP’s, and I’m getting 100$ / year from my dad, which equates to just over 8$ / month by hosting his domains and sites, which don’t take up more than 50 mb.

With quite a few different IP’s and my SEO experiment of creating a network of 100 mini video game sites, in addition to the other 10 sites I have, this should be a nice investment, even if its /month out of my pocket.

So, starting in August 2006, current monthly payments relating to the sites:

- 20$ /month for an automated directory submission service.
- 56.50$ /month for VPS hosting.
+ 8.33$ /month for hosting dad.
————–
- 68.17$ /month

SEO Experiment Update 1.0

So, the SEO experiment of my 100 mini video game sites will begin soon. Major problem I’ve been having is that I have cash on me and some money in paypal, but alot is scattered around. Parents want nothing to do with me financially. Two days ago, I finally got my brother to allow me to use his credit card. 500 Canadian Dollar limit though.

So, when some of his money clears up from the CC, I’ll be ordering my first 62 domains. About two of those are not for the 100 mini sites. I’ll be buying the other 40 or so domains soon. I need to find more keywords and niches :)
